So now that you know what QR Codes are, how do we use them here at Miller Chevrolet?
Each New and Pre-Owned Vehicle on our lot has a QR code located on it. The vehicle specific QR code will bring you to the vehicle details on one of two platforms. On New Vehicles it will bring you to our partner (Kiffaroo) site with the vehicle details and price. On Pre-Owned vehicles it will bring you to our mobile site where you will be able to see all the vehicle options as well as all the photos of the vehicle and the price. We also have QR codes posted all over the dealership for special information on vehicles on the showfloor, links to review sites, as well as links to social media sites.
Where are the codes located?
On New Vehicles the QR code will be located in a Kiffaro sticker next to the factory window sticker or on the front windshield.
On Pre-Owned Vehicles the QR code is located on the vehicle window sticker on the lower portion of it. It should be located on the Driver's side rear window in most vehicles.
How can I use QR codes when shopping for my next vehicle?
QR codes can be used in a variety of ways when shopping for your next vehicle. You can scan a vehicle at one dealership and compare it to your other options at the next dealer you visit (don't forget to bookmark the webpage for future reference). You can also shop on Sunday's without the pressure or presence of Salespeople when the dealership is closed and still get most of your answers during the research process. By far the best use is to compare vehicles you are interested in, as well as post the link to facebook or GOOGLE + to get valuable social input on other people's experiences with similar vehicle and dealership experiences.
Now that I know what to use the QR codes for, what progam do I use to scan them with on my smartphone?
Android OS users: We recommend GOOGLE Goggles
iPhone/iPad/Ipod users: QR Reader for iPhone or i-nigma
Blackberry users: QR Code Scanner Pro
Check them all out in your smartphones market app.
Happy Scanning!
